Mrs. Skinner

Mrs. Skinner was the wife of Mr. Skinner and the owner of a small farm on an island in the middle of a lake. One day the Skinners discovered a strange white liquid bubbling up from the ground on their land. When they fed it to their livestock, it made the animals grow bigger. Mrs. Skinner was a devoutly religious woman and believed the substance to be a gift from God. Her husband left immediately to journey to the mainland to see Jack Bensington about selling the "food," leaving Mrs. Skinner in charge of the farm.

During her husband's absence everything went wrong. First, wild animals, including rats, wasps and worms got into the "food" and became big and began attacking people. Mrs. Skinner herself suffered bites on her arm from giant worms while the trio of vacationing football players Morgan, Brian and Davis were attacked by the giant wasps, during which time Davis was killed. Unbeknown to any of them, Mr. Skinner was also attacked and killed by the rats coming home from seeing Bensington.

Mrs. Skinner reluctantly allowed Morgan, Brian and Bensington and his scientist-assistant Lorna Scott to seek refuge from the wasps and rats in the farmhouse. The group was soon joined by campers Thomas and Rita. The unfortunate Mrs. Skinner prove maddeningly unhelpful to the ever-worsening situation, and ultimately died when a giant rat broke in through a window and bit her to death - but not before she also killed it by burying a meat cleaver in its skull.
