Biography
Pre-Crisis
Ms. Gsptlsnz was a female Imp who came from the Fifth Dimension. At some point, she came to be involved with Mister Mxyzptlk where she was considered his girlfriend. On her birthday, her boyfriend left as he did not want to spend the day with her and instead travelled to the third dimension. Once there, he became smitten with Lucy Lane and attempted to romance the human woman but she was in love with Jimmy Olsen. Thus, he cursed Olsen by turning him into a wolfman but unknown to anyone Ms. Gsptlsnz had followed her boyfriend to Earth. She then intervened and returned Olsen back to normal whereupon she tricked Mxyzptlk into saying his name thus sending him back to their dimension. Before departing, she told Jimmy that she would continue to visit him every 90 days now as she had become interested in him and that she had really saved his life. (Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen v1 #52)
Post-Crisis
Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
Whilst in the Fifth Dimension, she and her love were walking their dog on Zrrf when Mxyzptlk was abducted by Superboy-Prime. (Countdown v1 #31) After his disappearance, Gsptlsnz began an extensive search for him when he finally re-emerged back in a wounded state. He quickly told her to seal off the dimension from outsiders as he was being pursued and stated that he could never return to the lower dimension. (Countdown v1 #22)
Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

- Ms. Gsptlsnz was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster where she made her first appearance in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen v1 #52 (April, 1964).

Television
- In Superman: The Animated Series, Ms. Gsptlsnz appeared in the animated television series set in the DC Animated Universe where she was voiced initially by actress Sandra Bernhard and then by actress Jennifer Hale.
- In Supergirl, Ms. Gsptlsnz appeared in the setting of the live-action television series set in the Arrowverse where she was portrayed by actress Peta Sergeant. Nyxlygsptlnz was born into the Fifth Dimension from King Brpxz; she also had an older brother. During her life, she also befriended her fellow Imp, Mister Mxyzptlk. According to her words, Nyxlygsptlnz was banished to the Phantom Zone by his father, who had previously murdered her brother, as he did not want to lose his throne. She was hand-cuffed in order to remove her almighty powers into the prison where, during her forced imprisonment, the Princess of the Fifth Dimension also met the Kryptonian, Az-Rel. After Supergirl's arrival in the Phantom Zone, she saved her from Scar and his men. Nyxly, as Kara referred to her, was able to destroy her cuff with a Fifth Dimension magical orb so she could help Kara heal her wounds and save her father from Scar's band. Later, after the group reached the Anchor to the Phantom Zone where they could find a portal to escape the prison, Nyxly planned to leave Zor-El behind so she shapeshifted herself into Scar and severely wounded him. The imp convinced Kara to escape without her father but the Kryptonian hero discovered her trick: as Nyxlygsptlnz claimed to destroy Kara's reality before returning to her home dimension, Supergirl chose to destroy the portal, also activating the Anchor's self-destruction which seemingly killed the Fifth Dimension imp.
