NERV is an organization that features in Neon Genesis Evangelion.

History
NERV was a special organization that was directly attached to the United Nations that had the important role of protecting the human race from the Angels. Secretly, it was actually backed by a secret and mysterious cabal known as SEELE.
Overview
Each branch had a trio of highly advanced S.C. Magi System (マギ) supercomputers.
The pilots were referred to as the Children that consisted of the 14 users that were to operate an Evangelion.
It made use of a number of seemingly created underground installations known as the GeoFronts.
Facilities operated by the organization included:
- NERV Headquarters : The primary subsection of the base was Central Dogma with a restricted and secret site located even further underground with this being Terminal Dogma.
- Bethany Base : a facility located within the Arctic that was holding the skeleton of the Third Angel.
- Tabgha Base : the 7th Branch of NERV that was stationed in Mare Tranquilitatis on the Moon.
