Biography

Ner'zhul was a male Orc born on the planet Draenor where he grew up to be a member of the Shadowmoon Clan.

In his adulthood, he came to be chieftain of the clan and served as its elder shaman where he was a respected figure in Orcish society. This saw all the clans come to him for advise with him offering it regardless of their affiliation.

Around this time, he was approached by Gul'dan who came at the behest of a hidden master to find a suitable leader for a united Orc Horde. The younger Orc believed that Ner'zhul embodied this role due to his respect and admiration that he gained from the other clans. He approached Ner'zhul at the Shadowmoon Valley where he told a false tale about how Ogres had destroyed his village. This was to gain the sympathy and pity of the Shadowmoon Clan with this succeeding and Ner'zhul took Gul'dan under his wing as his apprentice.
