Oasis of Ahm Shere
The Oasis of Ahm Shere was a hidden location in Egypt that featured in The Mummy: The Scorpion King.
Background
The Oasis of Ahm Shere was created when the Scorpion King's mortal army was defeated. Falling into the desert, the remains of his soldiers died one by one leaving the Scorpion King alone. Close to dying, the warrior called for the dark god Anubis to aid him and that if he was allowed to survive as well as conquer his enemies; he would pledge his soul to the king of the underworld. Anubis granted him this wish and after eating a black scorpion n the desert, a great oasis was formed with a golden pyramid in its centre which was known as Ahm Shere which would be known as a myth to the world.
Centuries later, it was discovered that the Oasis did exist and a cult that wished to gain the power of the Army of Anubis reawakend the undead creature called Imhotep to take the power of the Scorpion King. Rick O'Connell and his family discovered the Oasis which the Bracelet of Anubis led to. It was revealed to be a rain forest which contained mummified undead pygmy warriors that killed all intruders. At the centre lied the golden pyramid with a statue of a scorpion at its peak holding a giant diamond which led travellers to it.
Inside the pyramid laid the chamber where the Scorpion King can be summoned. It was here that Rick O'Connell defeated the Scorpion King and stopped his armies from conquering the world.
