Biography

Origin

Lashawn Baez was an African-American woman who was the daughter of Tomas Baez where they lived in the modern age at Central City. She was a medical student when her father went ill and needed a kidney transplant but found that she was not a compatible donor. In desperation, she decided to steal one but she was stopped by the Flash who returned the stolen donor organ. (The Flash v2 #180) After gaining her powers, she intended to become a hero but was labelled a criminal for her actions. (The Flash v2 #196)

When Gorilla Grodd attacked Iron Heights, Peek-a-Boo was able to escape along with many other Rogues. She then went to the Central City General Hospital in order to visit her father secretly but was discovered by Hunter Zolomon. Lashawn attempted to escape when a guard attempted to apprehend her and upon contact a small explosion was created in the area before she teleported away. (The Flash v2 #192) Peek-A-Boo then returned to the hospital when her fathers condition was deteriorating and she attempted to teleport him away from the police. Despite her efforts, her father died on the street outside with Lashawn grieving for him. She then attempted to escape with the Flash touching her as she teleported with the resultant explosion incapacitating the Flash and hurting the pregnant Linda West. The Flash begged Peek-A-Boo to save his wife with Baez deciding to help Linda rather than Wally West with her taking the injured woman to a doctor to recover. Baez then decided to turn herself into the authorities as she had nothing left in her life anymore now that her father had passed away. (The Flash v2 #196)

Post-Flashpoint

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

Peek-a-Boo was among the supervillains invited to join the Legion of Zoom that were a group organized by the Reverse-Flash to bring all the Flash's greatest enemies together to finally defeat him. (The Flash v1 #760) However, the Legion was overpowered by the Flash Family and disbanded. (The Flash v1 #761)
