Phillip Blumburtt

Captain Phillip James Blumburtt was an officer in the British military in 1935. He was met by Indiana Jones at Pankot Palace, where he and his men were staying overnight during a routine patrol of the region. Blumburtt was exceedingly receptive to Jones' suspicions about the presence of the Thuggee at the palace, having heard stories of them (and possibly even encountered them). After the children were freed from the Thuggee's diamond mines, Maharaja Zalim Singh sought out Captain Blumburtt and his men and brought them to where Jones and his companions were in a standoff against the Thuggee, and the British troops drove them away and rescued Jones.
