Biography
Azshara was a female Elf born on the planet Azeroth as one of the Highborne that ruled the continent of Kalimdor.
With the portal destroyed, Azshara quickly concluded that Sargeras would not be coming to see her. Not telling her followers, she watched as the void left by the Well of Eternity began to flood with water from the ocean. In response, Azshara raised Sharas'dal high and wove a magic shield to protect herself and her Highborne followers in order to save them from being crushed though this was only a temporary reprieve. Her arcane shield eventually failed resulting in herself and her court being swept into the sea. Seemingly about to die, she was then approached by a fish that spoke in an unearthly voice that told her to give up. She then learnt that this was actually the voice of N'Zoth of the Old Gods who offered to save her in exchange for her becoming its servant. The power-hungry Azshara though was not content with simple survival and being a servant but instead wished to rule as a queen. Thus, she made her demands with her defiance angering the Old God but she did not back down and was willing to die. As such, N'Zoth relented and transformed Azhara along with her followers into the Naga.
