He was then formally invited into the new incarnation of the Justice League of America where he took on a new name as Red Arrow with both Black Canary and Hal Jordan being proud of him. (Justice League of America v2 #7)

As Red Arrow, Roy found himself to be fully settled for the first time in a while, happy that he was fully embracing his legacy. He bought a house in Star City, to give Lian more room as she grew up, and even began giving her archery lessons, realizing that one day, she would probably want to take on the family legacy herself.

Roy was present for the meeting on the Justice League Watchtower regarding Prometheus' plan but briefly stepped out of the room to call his daughter Lian and wish her goodnight. However, unbeknownst to all the Justice League members, Prometheus had already infiltrated their headquarters and ambushed Roy, beating him senseless and cutting off the hero's arm with a sword. Red Arrow escaped the fight long enough to return to the meeting, collapsing on the ground, as the other League members sprung to his aid. (Justice League: Cry for Justice v1 #5)

Red Arrow (Emiko Queen)

Main Article: Emiko Queen

Emiko Queen was a human woman born in the modern age as the daughter of Robert Queen and Shado thus making her the younger half-sister of Oliver Queen. (Green Arrow v5 #22)

Overview

Notes

  • The concept of Red Arrow was created by Mark Waid and Alex Ross where it made its first appearance in Kingdom Come v1 #2 (June, 1996).
  • The alias was used in the mainstream Earth incarnation of Roy Harper with this adapted by Brad Meltzer in Justice League of America v2 #7 (May, 2007).

Alternate Versions

  • In Kingdom Come v1 #2 (1996), Red Arrow was he name of future version of the modern-day superhero Roy Harper who was an inhabitant of Earth-22 in the Multiverse. He was shown as being a member of Superman's Justice League of the World in the mid-21st century. He had decided to hearken back towards the methods (and costume, albeit colored red) of his mentor, Green Arrow. Red Arrow's fate in the final battle centered around the Gulag in Kansas is uncertain, but it seems that he perished along with the many others at its climax.
