Biography
Origin
Roberto Reyes
Seeing that he was being pursued, he attempted to escape what he thought were the authorities but ended driving into a dead end. He then exited the vehicle and surrendered to the police where he lamented on how he failed his brother. It was then that he was gunned down by mercenaries who were the people actually chasing him where they wanted access to his vehicle and money that was secretly hidden within it. They abandoned the dying Reyes who was then possessed and became the Ghost Rider as a result who drove away in the magically transformed Hell Charger. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #1) Robbie awoke the next morning, believing the events had simply been a nightmare; however, he soon found that one of his eyes was now orange. Concerned, he returned to the workshop where the car had been, Canelo's Auto and Body. While attempting to take it out for another drive, he was confronted by two thugs, who worked for the owner of the car. Robbie became the Ghost Rider again and attacked them, before driving to a junkyard and reverting. The Ghost Rider appeared as Robbie's reflection, and Robbie asked the Rider what it is, to which it responded; "The real question is... what are we?". (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #2) The demon revealed itself to be a spirit named Eli, and offered Robbie a chance to seek vengeance towards those who have done wrong. After some brief thought, Robbie ultimately decided to accept the offer of the spirit. Robbie later returned to the garage where he worked, to find his boss murdered and the car stolen. Eli claimed to know who had done this, and Robbie transformed into the Ghost Rider. The Rider teleported to the car and merged with it, attacking the drug cartel who had stolen it. He prepared to finish them off, when their leader suddenly took some mysterious pills and mutated into a massive, hulking creature. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #3) A brutal fight ensued where with the powers of the Ghost Rider Robbie was able to win. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #4) Reyes was soon confronted by Mr. Hyde where he managed to defeat the supervillain as well. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #5) In the aftermath, Robbie quickly became a protector in the eyes of local residents. Unwilling to become a vigilante, Robbie began using his powers to make money off of street races, which allowed him to work less and spend more time with Gabe, much to Eli's dismay. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #6)
Avenger
Following a vivid nightmare involving an ancient gathering of heroes that include a previous Ghost Rider, Robbie awakens in South Africa with no memory of how he got there. He is attacked by Star Brand, who seeks to keep him from finding a buried Celestial. Robbie defeats Star Brand by using the Penance Stare, an ability he previously had no idea he possessed, but somehow accidentally kills Star Brand as well. (Marvel Legacy v1 #1) Robbie then joins a new team of Avengers formed by Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America to fight off the Celestial Final Host. Sometime later, word of Star Brand's death somehow reaches Odin. The long-time ally of the original pre-historic Star Brand thought that Robbie killed the current Star Brand purposely. Robbie explains to the All-Father of Norse Gods about his accidental murder of the latter Star Brand when his Penance Stare first awakened, thus easily winning forgiveness and making friends. He participated in the Avengers mission into the Shi'ar prison galaxy Ravenstarr where they became trapped in the maximum security artificial galaxy. (Avengers v8 #27)

He came to be known as La Leyenda (The Legend) among the Mexican community and also as the Legend of Hillrock Heights. (Ghost Rider v8 #1)
He had a younger brother named Gabe Reyes who suffered from a developmental disorder that confined him to a wheelchair. Robbie was shown to care deeply for Gabe and looked after him where he often fought against bullies picking on Gabe. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #1)
The Reyes family were known to have cat that was named Coal. (Marvel Meow and Pizza Dog Infinity Comic v1 #3)
Powers and abilities
Originally, Robbie Reyes was an ordinary human being with no special powers though he came to be a talented mechanic. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #1)
Upon becoming the Ghost Rider, he would transform the 1969 Dodge Charger into the Hell Charger. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #1) Unlike previous Ghost Riders who rode on motorcycles, Robbie drives a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T which he refers to as the Hell Charger. The Hell Charger is linked to the Ghost Rider, allowing Robbie in his Ghost Rider form to instantly teleport to and/or merge with the car. It also acts as a warp hub which he can shadowmeld with to warp things (himself or others) over varying distances using shadows. (All-New Ghost Rider v1 #5)
During his battle with Star Brand, Robbie discovered that he possessed the Penance Stare, which allowed him to force anyone who makes eye contact with him to experience all of the pain and suffering they have ever inflicted on others. (Marvel Legacy v1 #1)

Alternate Versions
- In Ghost Racers v1 #1 (2015), an alternate version of Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider appeared in the Battlerealm reality that was designated as Earth-15513 in the Multiverse. Robbie Reyes once lived a normal life with his brother Gabe in the south of Doomstadt. But, on one hot day of summer, Robbie's brother opened a fire hydrant in Doomrock Heights to freshen up; however, by doing so, Gabe broke one of the laws of God Doom and caught the attention of a D.P.D. Patrol Bot. When the Patrol Bot tried to arrest Gabe, Robbie intervened and it was then that the Patrol Bot detected a Igniter Spirit within him and called for reinforcements, the Thors. Soon afterwards, Robbie and some of his friends were arrested by them. Robbie was taken to the Killiseum, where he was informed that he was possessed by an Igniter Spirit and that from that moment on, he would be forced to race in Arcade's Ghost Races just like the others possessed. Later on that night, after talking for the first time with his Igniter Spirit, "Eli," Robbie participated in his first Ghost Race, but lost due his lack of experience. He was taken along with the other Ghost Racers who lost to the Killiseum's dungeons, where they would be tortured for loosing the race. While being tortured, Robbie made a deal with Eli that he would never loose again and the Igniter Spirit would find a way out of that Hell. In the following races, Robbie managed to win every race of the season and achieved the record for most consecutive victories by a single competitor in Ghost Racer history, quickly becoming famous among the Killiseum's audience. After winning one more race, Robbie went to celebrate his victory with his brother Gabe in the Jekyll & Hyde Club, unknowing that Arcade was planning his death.

- In Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Robbie Reyes appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe live-action television series season 4 where he was portrayed by actor Gabriel Luna. This version gained his powers after he and his brother, Gabe, were attacked by a street gang called the Fifth Street Locos, who mistook Robbie for his uncle Eli Morrow. Gabe came to be paralyzed while Robbie's injuries were fatal. However, a 'good Samaritan' that was actually the Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze rescued Gabe and revived Robbie by giving him the spirit of vengeance. As Robbie only saw Johnny in his Ghost Rider form, the former believed that he sold his soul to 'the Devil' and goes on to hunt down and kill members of the Fifth Street Locos as well as other people he believed 'deserve it'. He later came into conflict with rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Daisy Johnson, but eventually allied himself with her and S.H.I.E.L.D. to combat Morrow's former co-worker turned ghost, Lucy Bauer, and others like her after discovering he was capable of exorcising them. He later came to confront Morrow himself over his crimes and dragging him into another dimension. Months later, Reyes returned to help the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents defeat AIDA and her LMDs before taking the Darkhold and leaving to find a place to hide it.
