Biography

Robert E. O. Speedwagon (Japanese: ロバート・E・O・スピードワゴン, Hepburn: Robāto Ī Ō Supīdowagon)

In 1888, he and a group of thugs on Ogre Street came to be paid by Dio Brando to kill his adoptive brother Jonatan Joestar. He and the pair of thugs attacked the gentleman only to end up incapacitated by their foe during the fight. This resulted in the other denizens of the street swarming Jonathan to attack him, only for Speedwagon to stop their advance to ask Joestar why he spared them. Jonathan's response was enough reason for Speedwagon to call off the attack and he helped Jonathan find the cure he needed to save his father who had been poisoned by Dio. Speedwagon joined the Joestar in his mansion and was able to call off Dio's lie as well as witnessing his subsequent transformation into a vampire by using the Stone Mask. Despite his pleas to help, he was thrown out of mansion as it burned by Jonathan. Still, he continued to visit Joestar during his recovery. They were later visited by Will Anthonio Zeppeli who revealed that Dio had survived and that the only way to defeat him was by a martial arts technique called Hamon that could channel the power of the sun to destroy the vampire.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Due to his ability to 'smell out' the personality of people, he had recognized Jonathan's noble spirit during the events at Ogre Street and accompanies him on his further journey to defeat Dio. In the same manner, he helped Jonathan uncover Dio's plot and helped expose Dio's self-pitying facade as a cover for his naturally evil behavior.
