Biography
Sam Winchester was a male human born on May 2, 1983 in Lawrence, Kansas as the eldest son of John Winchester and his wife Mary Winchester with him being the younger brother of Dean Winchester.

Personality and attributes
It was said that he was named after his maternal grandfather, Samuel Campbell.
From his mothers side, he came from a lone line of expert hunters whilst his father had been a member of the Men of Letters.
Powers and abilities
From a young age, he was trained as a child where at 14 years old he managed to beat a boy twice his size to the ground without much effort.
He came to be a Hunter after having been trained by his father John Winchester who was regarded as one of the best Hunters in history.
