Sergeant Tashiro was a police officer in the town of Kitamatsu. After Yoshi was found dead in the coal mine, Sgt. Tashiro was tasked with finding and arresting his suspected killer, Goro. He went down into the mine with Suteyan and Senkichi, and was killed by a Meganulon.
