History

A number of Series 9 robots.

The Series 9 robots are one of the nine series of robots that were created by Humans for various tasks. The Series 1 to 4 were designed for city use and were the first to be destroyed during the Nuclear War of 2079. Only the agricultural based Series 9 units that were located outside the major cities were spared from the nuclear warheads.

After surviving, the series of machines began to slowly develop intelligence as well as sentience. They would begin a destructive campaign that led them to personally destroy the Series 5 to 8 unis. After which they began to realise that it was the humans who had destroyed their primary mission which was tending the soil and crops. As this concept came to their understanding, the machines would develop a frightening emotion as part of their sentience - anger.

In 2140 when the Great Surface War began, the Series 9 were ready to destroy their makers only to find a war already happening between the Survivors and the Evolved. However, a problem present itself when they realised that their enemies were prepared for war whether it was using plasma weaponry or mutated beasts for combat while the Series 9 only possessed farming tools. They would abandon their plan to attack their enemies and began a lengthy period of research to turn themselves from a civilian model series into one for war. It would take a hundred years for this to happen and in 2179 they were finally ready and the second surface war would begin..

Overview

The Series 9 made use of their agricultural tools that were adapted for war. They would use seeder, pod launcher and sterilizer unis against their enemies which systech machines would tend to their own. While mobile construction barns would spread their territory and crop dusters would poison the enemy positions from the sky.
