Biography

Over 100,001 years ago, "Shadow Stealer" was a member of the Hand of Artakha who defended the Matoran building the Great Spirit Robot from various menaces to its construction. However, once the robot was complete, the Hand of Artakha was disbanded and another species, the Toa, became the public's new defenders, leaving Shadow Stealer bereft of purpose. He wandered the Matoran Universe for millennia and eventually joined the Dark Hunters.

Shadow Stealer's first mission, which took place somewhere far from Odina, should have taken years to complete, but he managed to finish it in mere days. Though he could have used his shadow transportation ability to enter a shadow close to him and emerge from one on Odina, he instead decided to journey back on foot to deal with threats he found along the way, including miscellaneous Toa and even other Dark Hunters that appeared and tried to kill him for reasons unknown (though it was rumored that the Brotherhood of Makuta hired these Dark Hunters to assassinate Shadow Stealer because they feared his mastery over shadow).

When the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, Shadow Stealer and the other surviving Dark Hunters emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Like most living beings native to the Matoran Universe, Shadow Stealer is a biomechanical lifeform whose body consists of both organic and metallic protodermis.

Powers and abilities

As his Dark Hunter codename suggests, Shadow Stealer has the power to absorb shadows and transform them into energy to rejuvenate himself. He can also use shadows as portals, disappearing into one and reappearing from another. He carries two double-bladed swords for use in combat.

Notes
