History

The Shinjin (Japanese: 芯人, Hepburn: Shin-jin) were a race of divine people that were charged with protecting the Multiverse where they served the Omni-King Zeno.

Overview

Among the highest ranked members of their kind were born with naturally divine power. Select numbers of them were chosen to become the Supreme Kais (界かい王おう神しん Kaiōshin, lit. "God of the Kings of the Worlds") who had the ultimate duty of protecting their universe. Certain members of their kind could serve as Attendants (付き人 Tsukibito) to the Supreme Kai's.

An artefact for use by the Kai's were the Kai Earrings where one of the pair could be worn between two individuals. This caused the two to merge where they greatly increased their power after joining into a composite being.

The original homeworld of the Shinjin was a planet that was known as the World Core (界芯星 Kaishin-sei, lit. "Core Planet of the Worlds"). Within a respective universe, the Supreme Kai's came to reside on a world that was designated as the Sacred World of the Kai (界王神界 Kaiōshin-kai, lit. "World of a God of the Kings of the Worlds").
