Biography

The Dark One That Burns in A-Force v1 #1.

Singularity

She survived the collapse of the Multiverse and crashed on the surface of Battleworld in the realm of Arcadia. Upon landing there, she was discovered by Nico Minoru where she forged a bond with her. (A-Force v1 #2)

Singularity emerged during the events of Battleworld, appearing as a sentient pocket universe in the shape of a small girl formed from cosmic matter. Her actions included manifesting suddenly in Arcadia, where she encountered the members of A-Force. She followed the heroines closely, silently observing their interactions while showing immediate attachment to them. When a giant shark creature attacked, Singularity revealed her abilities by opening a void within her body, absorbing debris and energy to prevent the team from being overwhelmed. Although she did not speak extensively, she demonstrated through action that she recognized the heroines as protectors, placing herself in their care. (A-Force v1 #1) After being taken under the protection of She-Hulk and her allies, she shadowed them throughout their patrols, often positioning herself between the heroines and external threats. When Loki attempted to manipulate Arcadia, Singularity’s powers activated instinctively, as she absorbed bursts of energy and redirected them harmlessly into her pocket-dimension body. Her behavior remained childlike, as she sought closeness with Nico Minoru and Captain Marvel, clinging to them during moments of danger. She also revealed her capacity for teleportation, transporting herself and others away from battle, though this exertion visibly fatigued her. (A-Force v1 #2)

Singularity took a more active role in combat. When A-Force clashed with the forces threatening Arcadia, she physically absorbed several of the incoming projectiles, pulling them into her body to prevent collateral damage. She then transported a portion of the battlefield debris into her own inner dimensional space, effectively cleaning the area around the team mid-fight. Her actions helped maintain the battlefield in A-Force’s favor. Despite her lack of combat training, her instinctual use of powers demonstrated both creativity and adaptability. Her attachment to the team was further reinforced, as she visibly panicked when separated from them even briefly. (A-Force v1 #3)

Afterwards, Carol Danvers recruited Singularity to help her when Captain Marvel was being forced by Vox to eliminate Earth's heroes amongst the Avengers. Carol seemingly complied as Vox Supreme threatened to kill Kree refugees on the planet. However, in reality, she was putting the targeted Avengers within the pocket dimension that was Singularity for safekeeping thus hiding them from Vox whilst she worked on a plan to defeat him. Overview

Personality and attributes

Little Blue Friend in A-Force v1 #1.

In appearance, Singularity was depicted as a small, feminine humanoid figure composed entirely of a glowing, star-filled cosmic mass. Her body shimmered with the appearance of nebulae, galaxies, and starlight, making her look like a living constellation. She lacked traditional clothing, as her form itself radiated light and energy, but her body was given the outline of a young girl, with delicate features, a small build, and a perpetual aura of cosmic wonder. Her design emphasized her identity as a living fragment of the universe. (A-Force v1 #1)

In personality, Singularity was portrayed as innocent, curious, and affectionate. She had the demeanor of a child, eager to form bonds with others and to find safety in companionship. She expressed loyalty to those she trusted, particularly the members of A-Force, to whom she gravitated instinctively. Despite her inexperience with the world, she exhibited bravery, often stepping in front of danger to shield others with her unique physiology. Her speech was minimal, but her actions conveyed her emotions clearly, whether it was joy at being accepted or fear when her friends were threatened. (A-Force v1 #2)

Powers and abilities

The Little One in A-Force v2 #2.

In abilities, Singularity possessed the powers of a sentient pocket universe. She could manipulate her body to absorb matter, energy, and debris into a dimension within herself, effectively acting as a living containment field. She demonstrated the ability to teleport herself and others across significant distances by moving them through her internal space. Her physiology made her highly durable, immune to many conventional attacks, as most energy or matter simply passed into her body harmlessly. Though not inherently offensive in combat, her power set gave her the ability to protect allies and reshape battlefields. (A-Force v1 #3)

She was capable of flight by means of an unknown form of energy propulsion. (A-Force v1 #5)

She could envelop others within her substance to protect them or transport them across space. (A-Force v1 #2)

She had the ability to generate teleportation warps, allowing her to displace both people and objects. (A-Force v1 #4) Her effective range is seemingly unlimited as she's even teleported between realities. (Avengers v6 #0)
