Snake of the Festival is an anime and manga villain who features in Shakugan no Shana.

Biography

Snake of the Festival (Japanese:「祭礼の蛇」銀二番目, Hepburn: Sairei no Hebi) was a true Crimson God (神 Kami?) of the Crimson Denizens and thus an inhabitant of the Crimson Realm (紅世 Guze?). During ancient times, he received the prayers of all the Denizens who desired a world for them to live in leading to the Snake of the Festival waking from his lumber to grant them their wish. He then enacted a ritual designed to build this paradise that was called the Great Binding Chain (大縛鎖 Daibakusa?) that would be a world for all Crimson Denizen.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, the Snake of the Festival's true form was that of a massive green snake with rows of spikes and red dots that covered its body. The face was also red with large sharp teeth along with yellow eyes that had black irises. Such was his power that he was known by the title of the God of Creation (創造神 Sōzōshin?). During his first arrival on Earth, he came to possess the name Fu Xi (伏羲 Fuggi?, Pinyin: Fú Xī).

Powers and abilities

As a true Crimson God, the Snake of the Festival was a powerful god-like being with a number of abilities at his disposal.

He served as the Alliance Leader (盟主 Meishu?) of the Crimson Denizen organization Bal Masqué (仮装舞踏会バル・マスケ Kasōbutōkai (Baru Masuke)?, lit., "Masquerade Ball").

  • The Snake of the Festival was created by Yashichiro Takahashi and Noizi Ito where he featured in the setting of the Shakugan no Shana universe.
