History
Origin
The Sons of Trigon were six demonic children spawned by the demon Trigon from three human brides with all these offspring being siblings to his daughter Raven. (Titans v2 #3 The demonic Trigon created a cult on Earth to seduce women, and produce hybrid offspring with them to pave the way for his invasion of Earth. His firstborn Raven rebelled against her heritage and became a superhero, serving with the Teen Titans. Her brothers Jacob, Jared, and Jesse became disciplines of their father. When Trigon was ready for his invasion he empowered the half-brothers and set them loose to destroy every last Teen Titan, past and present. Trigon bragged to Raven about his plan, and the newly reformed Titans sought out the brothers, who manipulated their emotions, making them vulnerable. They confronted and attacked the Titans and used Raven to open up a portal to Trigon’s dimension. The battle went for Trigon’s children and they used Beast Boy’s Trigon seed, the smallest spark of which was still in him, to finish the portal, and Trigon prepared to step through, telling his boys they would rule at his side.. Raven used her own ability to tap into the seven deadly sins, which greatly sickened her, to overcome her brothers with greed. They stole Trigon’s last vestiges of power, and then retreated to learn how to manipulate their newfound magic. Trigon was proud that his sons were as deceitful, manipulative and power-hungry as he was. Raven was pleased at having tricked them. In his dilapidated state Trigon could not have given them much of a magical boost. (Titans v2 #4)
Raven’s encounter with her half-brothers let her dark side out, and she subconsciously started thinking about killing the Titans, and this summoned her brothers. They took her by the hand and led her to Trigon’s dimension. Raven had given her teammate Troia the talisman Ramat Stone to locate her in just such a situation, because she always feared being lured to the dark side, and the Titans were transported to Trigon’s dimension. They met the rest of the Sons of Trigon, Greed, Gluttony, and Sloth, and were defeated. Raven turned against her brothers, proclaiming herself Pride, the sin from which all others sprung. She wanted to rule the Earth, but with the Titans at her side, and began imbuing them with the powers of the Seven Deadly Sins. This activated the Ramat Stone, Raven had given it a sliver of her pure essence, and the Raven that was loyal to the Titans emerged and merged herself with her demonic counterpart and returned the team to Titan’s Tower. (Titans v2 #6)
Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events. The Sons of Trigon
The brothers later come under suspicion of having kidnapped the Stranger's family, weary of deception, the Phantom Stranger visited the brother's Lucky Devil casino with Deadman in tow. While playing a game of high risk poker with the brothers, Deadman learned that the aggressive Suge was "Exactly what everyone thinks." while the seemingly timid and slightly dim Ruskoff was "Not at all what he seemed." and the older Belial was "The last person you'd want as an enemy." While the brothers were cleared of suspicion, they were angered by what they believed to be a trick of the Stranger that made them act out and ultimately loose the game.
