Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is a film monster who features in Ghostbusters.

Biography

Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was a ghostly entity created by the Sumerian god Gozer the Gozerian after manifesting in New York City in 1984. He was confronted by the Ghostbusters who failed to stop him leading to the god telling them to choose the form of their destructor. The Ghostbusters attempted to blank their mind but Ray Stantz accidentally thought of Stay Puft Marshmallows on the fire at Camp Waconda. As a result, Gozer create the form of a creature shaped on Stay Puft Marshmallow Man that was the mascot for the Stay Puft brand. The 100-foot tall homicidal marshmallow man then arrived in the city bent on destroying the world starting with the Ghostbusters at the top of the Shandor Building.

In appearance, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was the form of the corporate mascot of the Stay Puft Marshmallows where he took the form of a white sailor.

The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was a ghostly entity who took on the form of the corporate mascot of the Stay Puft Marshmallows. In one instance, he took the form of a 100 foot tall giant capable of scaling skyscrapers. In another instance, he took the form of multiple miniature Stay Puft's where a single one could stand on a human hand.
