Biography
Tala was born from an ancient line of Native American shamans and her name meant "Stalking Wolf". Even at a young age, she was known for her ability to communicate with spirits which resulted in her being considered an outcast among her people. As the years went by, her father would be killed by treacherous fur traders while her seer mother was sent to die in a storm by the fearful tribe that she belonged to. This resulted in Tala developing an intense distrust of others - both white men and her own people.
She would later be capture by the same traders that killed her father and her fate seemed to have been sealed until an attack by vampires brought a brutal end to the traders trail. She was left for dead but was rescued by Darkwatch Regulators who were on the trail of the vampire clan. After saving her, the organization adopted her as one of their top agents but never suspected that she decided that she no longer wished to be powerless and has plans on revenge against the world that has wronged her.
As a member of the Darkwatch society in the wild west, she worked to combat the threats posed by vampires and the undead. She quickly rose within the organization to the rank of Regulator and was known to dress quite provocatively. After the death of Cassidy, the leader of the vampire hunter society assigned Tala as Jericho Cross's new partner.
Though she participated and aided him in quite a few missions, it became quite apparent that she had ambitions of power. She would seduce Jericho Cross and the two would have sex at which point she tempted the cursed half vampire into biting her thus transforming her into a creature like himself. After this happened, she betrayed the Darkwatch and allowed Lazarus Malkoth's minions to invade the Citadel. Once Lazarus was defeated by Jericho Cross, Tala arrived in order to take the vampire lords power. A portal opens into a chamber once held by Lazarus as part of a ceremony in order to gain ultimate power.
- Good Ending: She attempts to seduce Jericho into joining her side but he rejects her. Despite her attempts at converting Jericho, he was not swayed due to the spirit of Cassidy. This causes Tala to get angry and she transforms into a winged demon and attacks Jericho though she is ultimately defeated. Falling to the ground and mortally wounded, she tells Jericho in her dying breath that she would have loved him always.
- Bad Ending: With Lazarus defeated, Tala enticed Jericho to join her to which he agreed and a portal opened to the ancient chamber once more. Once there, the spirit of Cassidy refused to let Jericho turn to darkness and becomes a flying angelic being that battle the vampires. Together, however, they manage to kill Cassidy and Tala rejoices stating that now the world was theres. At which point, she embraces him in a passionate kiss, however, events turn violent as Jericho's dark nature does not wish to share any power and he devours her.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Tala was a young, attractive Native American who appeared to be of average height and possesses a voluptuous figure. She has long raven black hair with feathers and dark brown eyes that turn white when she becomes a vampire. While Cassidy was shown to dress more modestly, Tala was shown to dress more provocatively. Displaying her ample cleavage through her Darkwatch uniform. As a vampire, she abandoned the Darkwatch Citadel after her treachery and dons a corset in place of her uniform.
Tala is the antithesis of Cassidy - seductive, sensuous, smoldering, dangerous as the evil forces she fights. In many ways, she represents the "new breed" of Darkwatch Agent. As mysterious as Jericho, Tala's meteoric rise in the ranks of the Darkwatch has been marked by an unshakable lust for power and a ruthless efficiency on the battlefield.
Tala's grace, speed, and power make her a natural contender for combat with the undead, and she often elects hand-to-hand combat over long-ranged combat. Though she is careless with her fellow men's lives, she compensates for it with utter fearlessness and her incredible ability to triumph against insurmountable odds. Silent as a shadow, Tala will sometimes vanish from the field at what appears a critical moment, only to reappear behind enemy lines, bathed in the blood of her enemies, and signaling to her squad that victory is in sight. Tala will do whatever it takes to rise to the top of the Darkwatch. For her own quest for power, as well as for the Darkwatch's war against darkness, she sees in Jericho Cross the perfect partner for their fight.
