Biography
Jamie Carlson was a male human born as the son of Katrina Carlson and Happy Hogan during a brief affair the two had when his mother worked at Stark Industries. His father was not aware of his birth and had later died without ever knowing his son. When Jamie was 5 years old, he came to be sick one day leading to his mother taking him with her to his work place as she was unable to find a babysitter. At the time, the company was conducting a demonstration of gamma-powered equipment when during the test it came to malfunction and explode. Katrina came to shelter Jamie during the explosion but unknown to anyone he came to be exposed to gamma radiation. Following the incident, Katrina came to be fired from her job and she attempted to try to look after her son. When he was 13 years old, he came to be bullied by other teenagers who were responsible for breaking his skateboard. When he returned home, his mother attempted to console him but his anger and frustrations caused his gamma mutation to first manifest where he turned into a monstrous figure. The physical changes caused damage to their home causing a explosion that ended up killing his mother leaving Jamie trapped in his new form. (Superior Iron Man v1 #5)
