History

Overview

Tiberium's direct contact with a human caused the green material to start to fuse with the persons skin within around 20 seconds. The individual began to experience an intense burning sensation and a full infection manifesting unless treated immediately. The flesh of the person began to crystalline with their internal organs shutting down as the Tiberium extended rigid crystalline runners throughout the body. Those that inhaled the crystal saw similar such spread as it became embedded within the lungs and the person beginning to lose the ability to process oxygen. As the lung tissue crystallises, the person will begin to start coughing up blood and begin haemorrhaging to death. In some cases for reasons unknown, Tiberium infection can trigger cellular mutation with these not being cancerous as the mutations seem strangely directed. Thus, they did not kill the person but rather their body began to transform with the full mechanism behind this situation not being fully understood.
