Biography
Charles "Trip" Tucker III
During 10th grade, he was at school where he was taught a biology lesson by Mr. Velik who was a Vulcan scientist that came to teach human children about life on other worlds. At first, Trip was scared at seeing Velik as he had never seen Vulcan but came to learn some valuable lessons from the experience. (ENT: Strange New World)
By 2151, he held the rank of commander and was an orbital engineer that was working on the U.S.S. Enterprise that was the first warp 5 ship developed by Earth. A planned exploration mission was being prepared by mankind though the Vulcans did not believe humanity was prepared to encounter other species. However, an incident occurred when a Klingon courier named Klaang crashed on Earth on a mission to reach Qo'noS. Captain Archer convinced Starfleet that the Enterprise could transport the injured Klingon back to the Klingon Empire with Trip conducting the finishing touches for the NX-class vessel to launch from Earth's orbit.
