UBCS

The UBCS (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service) was a group of mercenaries either hired directly out of prison or from foreign armies. While they were supposedly sent by Umbrella, Inc. into the zombie-ridden Raccoon City to rescue survivors, their true purpose was simply to die at the hands of the various monsters so that their employers could collect combat data. However, a few select members known as "Supervisors" (which included Nicholai Ginovaef), were tasked with gathering battle data and specimens, as well as destroying evidence of Umbrella's involvement in the outbreak.
