History

Validium was a living metal that had been created by Omega who created it in the early days of Gallifrey as the ultimate defence for the planet. It was noted for being incredible dangerous and thus it was never supposed to leave the homeworld of the Time Lords. However, some of it was taken away from the planet with a piece of it falling onto Earth where it was found by Lady Peinforte who fashioned it into a statue of herself that held a bow and arrow that she called the Nemesis. The Doctor encountered this piece where he launched the Nemesis into space on a rocket sled that was to keep the statue away where it returned to orbit Earth every 25 years. During such moments, the mere presence of the Nemesis caused disaster to the people of Earth. In 1988, the Nemesis once more came to Earth where it was encountered by the Seventh Doctor.
