Vehicons

The Vehicons were a series of standardized Transformer drones used by Megatron to police Cybertropolis (and, probably, Cybertron as a whole). Aerodrones, which changed from robot to jet, patrolled the air; Cycledrones, which changed from robot to motorcycle, patrolled the roads; and Tank Drones, which changed from robot to tank, served as heavy shock troopers. The non-transforming Mole Drones and Diagnostic Drones are sometimes counted as Vehicons as well.

Unlike most Transformers, the Vehicons had no sparks, no minds to speak of, and distinctly inhuman robot modes. Their effectiveness was limited (due to their mindlessness) against Optimus Primal's Maximals, leading to the creation of the Vehicon Generals.

Later, after the destruction of Tankorr and the conversion of Jetstorm, Thrust became the Vehicons' leader, until Megatron created Strika and Obsidian and their own legions of Vehicons. All the Vehicons were presumably destroyed in the final battle with the Maximals.
