History

Vingulf (Japanese: ヴィンガルフ, Hepburn: Vingarufu?) was an institute that came to operate as a secret organization in the world. Its origin's were traced to the year 1910 when a Japanese geologist and a group of gold miners came to unearth alien beings. Rather than make the discovery publicly known, they instead kept it a secret and engaged in research of their find where they came to learn that these aliens were responsible for the creation of the human race. In addition, they came to learn that these beings had the means of destroying mankind with the Vingulf Institute dedicated in the destruction of God. After World War II, they relocated to Japan and came to gain a great deal of power in the shadows as they continued their research. They eventually came to develop the Drasil and the Grane that could be contained in a Harnessed with it placed in the base of the neck of host bodies that became Witches that had the power to harness 'magic'. A group of scientists and researchers came to learn of the goals of the Vingulf organization causing them to form a splinter group called Hexenjagd that were in opposition to their goals.
