Biography
Origin
Emil LaSalle
Conduit hired Neutron, Warp and Plasmus to kill Superman and Ma and Pa Kent. The villains engaged Superman in battle, and Warp nearly succeeded in tossing the Kents into the Grand Canyon before being defeated. (Adventures of Superman v1 #523)
Later on, Warp was questioned about the death of Sue Dibny by Cyborg I and Starfire, but he couldn't offer any useful information. (Identity Crisis v1 #5)
After being partially cured, Warp was with the Brotherhood of Evil when they appear as members of Lex Luthor's Society. (Infinite Crisis v1 #4) The Society made plans for a worldwide prison break to free every incarcerated supervillain, and Warp was given the important task of teleporting to the center of the Earth with Dr. Psycho to free Doomsday from his prison. (Villains United: Infinite Crisis Special v1 #1)
Warp would invent a prototype teleportation device, and went to Gotham's East End to sell or trade it. Calculator had contracted Catwoman to steal Lex Luthor's snowglobe, and led her to Warp so she could steal his device to aid in her task. After Catwoman completed her mission Warp caught up with her, demanding his device back. She overpowered him, and said the device was gone, but it didn't work properly anyway, so he shouldn't be sore. She forced him to teleport to Calculator's apartment after threatening to claw his eyes out. Warp told Calculator he had paid, but Calculator reminded him he had a huge amount of dirt on Warp he could give to law enforcement and the tabloids, and Warp teleported away in a huff. (Catwoman v3 #65)
