Werfen
From Multiversal Omnipedia
Werfen was a German town in southern Bavaria. It served a variety of strategic purposes to the Nazis. The Schloss Adler loomed over it on the Weisspitze, serving as the headquarters for the German Secret Service in the region, and an army barracks just outside of Werfen served as a training camp.
Comments
- The real town of Werfen is actually in Austria, where the movie was filmed. It was apparently named Werfen in the movie after the real town. The town is unnamed in Alistair MacClean's novel.
