History

The Worldkillers were a group of genetically engineered beings that were part of a Kryptonian project. This involved the collection of five embryos from various species throughout the cosmos where they were brought to a laboratory located far Krypton in a silent corner of space. The research subjects were studied, tested and changed as part of a project called Worldkillers that was derived from Kryptonian myth. (Supergirl v6 #7)

Following the destruction of Krypton, the incubation chambers containing the Worldkillers awoke them where they found the laboratory holding them deserted and that one of the pods was already empty. (Supergirl v6 #7)

Instilled with a genetic need to find their worlds, the Worldkillers were said to had travelled across space where they came to destroy a number of worlds. Their travels eventually saw them head to the planet Earth where they came to confront Supergirl Kara Zor-El. (Supergirl v6 #7)

Overview

In appearance, the Worldkillers were a team of different humanoid aliens all of whom were genetically engineered and augmented. It was said that they were still evolving and growing meaning that they had not reached their full potential. (Supergirl v6 #7)

Individually, they were capable of eliminating a planetary populace that was considered a time-consuming process. (Supergirl v6 #7)
