Gordon Nobili

While mumbling at a café about the Paguros, Gordon and his sons were captured by the Punisher and other members of the Thunderbolts who were looking for the Paguros. Glad to have the opportunity to have their revenge against the Paguros, they revealed immediately their location, just before the starting of the invasion of New York City by Thanos's army. (Thunderbolts v2 #15) The Nobili were soon running away from the battle, pursued by Thanos' ravagers, until they arrived to the Paguro stronghold, the only safe place in the Bronx. The Paguros shoot down the aliens but refused the Nobili entry, until Gordon mentioned that he had intel about the Punisher. Defiant of the Nobili's claims that they hadn't revealed the location of the stronghold, "Pops" Paguro decided to arm his guests in prevision. The Nobili soon attracted the animosity of other criminals, as they stayed sitting, considering themselves more like "logistical types". (Thunderbolts v2 #16) When the Punisher, Venom and Elektra entered the bunker and started killing, "Pops" Paguro tripled the bounty on them, but Gordon refrained his sons from entering the brawl. As the Terrigen Bomb was set off by Black Bolt, the Nobili went through a transformation into newly manifested Inhumans. (Thunderbolts v2 #17) As Joey was using his light drawing powers, he was shot dead by one of the Paguros' clients who thought him to be an alien invader. Gordon avenged him and rallied his son Carmen to take down all those criminals that had mocked them. Witnessed by the Thunderbolts, they were left to be by the Punisher as they were slaughtering 'scum'. Once the Paguros' clients dead, Carmen committed suicide, unable to bear his freak look and the pain originating from his new form. Broken by the death of his sons, Gordon was contacted by his deceased uncle Louie appearing on his forearm. While two other ancestors appeared on his body, explaining him his new powers, Louie hinted him to get revenge over the Punisher for the loss of his sons. (Thunderbolts v2 #18)

Taking a bath and drinking wine, Lineage communed with his ancestors, learning about buried caches of gold, how George Washington hated cats, and hidden stockpiles of Terrigen Crystals buried when a past Inhuman civilization was buried by a volcano. A new relative showed up on his skin talking about how he'd been out walking his dog Raji before encountering a super hero fight where Black Bolt had declared war on the Kree, who'd been experimenting with mists on Earth. Lineage realized he could use this information to achieve power. (Original Sins v1 #3) Learning more and more secrets from his ancestor, Gordon's deceased relatives were joined by a new member killed by the Orb in possession of the Watcher's eye. While killed, that relative was struck by a vision of Black Bolt, Lockjaw and Inhuman soldiers attacking an Kree laboratory. (Inhuman v1 #3) Gordon's other deceased relatives were later joined by a new member killed by the Orb in possession of the Watcher's eye. (Original Sin v1 #3) It was this event urged Black Bolt to spread the Terrigen to reveal and assemble all the Inhuman traits lost over the generations in order to confront the threat that was coming. (Inhuman v1 #3)

With the knowledge of his ancestors, Lineage went to New Attilan where he presented himself to Queen Medusa in order to deliver her the intelligence he had acquired earlier on Black Bolt. (Inhuman v1 #2) Being insolent, Medusa threatened to have her telepath Sterilon probe his mind, to which Lineage mentioned the previous attempt to enter his mind. Medusa finally simply asked Lineage to help her, if that was what he wished. Once Medusa learned the secret Lineage gave her. she assembled a party of royal guards, including Triton, Gorgon, along with Inferno and Lineage, and went to Orollan to confront Nuhumans savior or murderer Lash. Once Lash and his Tribe were neutralized, Lineage told them what was coming and why Black Bolt had released the Terrigen, Medusa then gave Lash a chance to stop his killing spree, and they departed, with Jason who defected Lash's side. (Inhuman v1 #3) After that mission, Lineage became what he called 'sort of the Queen's advisor'. (Inhuman v1 #6) Elejea welcomed Sterilon, Lineage, Frank McGee, Triton Ms. Marvel, Inferno, Gabriela Pertuz, Gorgon, Naja, and others to the funeral for Vinatos. Medusa shockingly entered, her personality having been inverted by a spell, and she cruelly flung Vinatos' coffin into the river. Later, Lineage was present when Medusa declared war on the humans. (Inhuman v1 #9) Lineage advised Medusa not to go to war, but she slashed his cheek with her hair, reminding him who was queen. Later, Medusa returned from the United Nations furious at someone for betraying her. She initially suspected Lineage, but then turned her rage on Triton and Gorgon, then left New Attilan in a rage, abandoning the city. (Inhuman v1 #10) Lineage watched carefully as Black Bolt defeated the forces of Ennilux in combat. In the wreckage of the Capo's ship, he pulled free the Inhuman Codex. Lineage then watched as Medusa kicked Black Bolt out of the city, leaving herself there to rule alone. (Inhuman v1 #12)

Lineage recruited two new young Inhumans, Kaboom and Kamran, and asked them to bring him Ms. Marvel, a young Inhuman in Jersey City who had connections to a powerful Inhuman family line that Lineage wanted to manipulate. (Ms. Marvel v3 #15) Kamran apprehended Ms. Marvel and placed her in a cell. Ms. Marvel fought her way free, battling the guards, but she soon found Lineage on a throne, flanked by Kamran and Kaboom. (Ms. Marvel v3 #14) Lineage was furious when Ms. Marvel texted someone for help and ran for it instead of listening to his plan. After Kamran and Kaboom failed to apprehend Ms. Marvel, Lineage expressed disappointment in them, but he felt he had other ways to get Ms. Marvel's attention. Notes

• Lineage was created by Charles Soule and Jefte Palo where he made his first appearance as Gordon Nobili in Thunderbolts v2 #14 (October, 2013) before appearing in Inhuman v1 #2 (July, 2014).

Alternate Versions

• In Old Man Hawkeye v1 #8 (2018), an alternate version of Lineage appeared in the Wastelands reality that was designated Earth-807128 in the Multiverse. Lineage was a crimelord operating out of Mordo who was approached by Hawkeye and Kate Bishop about obtaining some gasoline. However, a bounty had been placed on Hawkeye, so Lineage tried capturing the pair to obtain it, but his men were defeated, he relented, and he gave Hawkeye the gas.
