The term bugdead is used in Athas to describe insects that have been animated as mindless undead, either as exoskeletons or zombies. They may be as small as sandflies (possibly animated as a swarm), or as large as kanks. Undead thri-kreen could reasonably be referred to as bugdead, but they are generally not.
