Biography
Rommie was the nickname given to the Glorious Heritage class heavy cruiser known as the Andromeda Ascendant. (Episode: An Affirming Flame) Though she was strictly confined initially to the vessel, after arriving at Guard Station GS-92196, Seamus Harper managed to uncover station documents that referred to the "Ship Made Flesh". This led to him conducting secret and extensive work onboard the Andromeda Ascendant in order to create an android avatar for the Andromeda Ascendant. (Episode: To Loose the Fateful Lightning) He accomplished this by using one of the vessels Type 3 androids which he heavily modified into a Human appearance. (Episode: Its Hour Come Round at Last) Her first mission led to her saving the crew of the Andromeda Ascendant from the child warriors of Guard Station GS-92196 by manipulating the vessels artificial gravity thus locking the young Humans in place thus ending their attempt at taking over the ship. (Episode: To Loose the Fateful Lightning)
Background
Personality and attributes
Tyr believed that Rommie had become emotionally attached to Dylan Hunt due to the high degree of emotions she felt when she beleived Anasazi had abandoned him. (Episode: Be All My Sins Remembered) It was even suspected by some that Rommie was actually in love with Dylan Hunt (Episode: Forced Perspective) This was somewhat felt even by the core AI of the Andromeda Ascendant when Rommie was involved in a relationship with the android Gabriel as the main intelligence commented that Rommie was torn between the love she could never have to the one that was present. (Episode: Star-Crossed) In time, she became even more emotional and sentimental to organic beings as she felt races such as Humans were extremely fragile. Furthermore, that their existence could end at any moment baffled her and she felt the fear of losing her crew as a result. This sometimes put her at odds with the Andromeda Ascendants core AI who believed that other organics would come and replace the ones that died. (Episode: Dance of the Mayflies)
Initially, she felt that her new crew were an undisciplined band that were not fit to serve on her but eventually she grew attached to them as if they were family. This was especially the case with Harper who she felt had exceeded the capabilities of previous engineers. (Episode: Oroborous) In fact, she stated that she had never seen any engineer that enjoyed repair duties as much as Harper. (Episode: Lava and Rockets)
After her brief affair with Gabriel, Rommie began to feel emotions of loss and grief after his death to the point that she asked Dylan to dissmantle her body. This was because she was deeply in love with the android and wondered whether such feelings would ever go away. She also held a fear of what would occur to her after seeing the fate of both the Balance of Judgement and the Pax Magellanic who had grown insane over the years. As such, she felt that such a fate would come to her until Hunt re-assured her that they went insane because they lacked a captain. (Episode: Star-Crossed)
Powers and abilities

Given proper maintenance, Rommie's android body was capable of surviving for a thousand years. (Episode: Dance of the Mayflies)
