In the years that followed, the term Shy Shen would become lost to society and people believed the Shy Shen to be an actual paper that contained the list of the leaders of the Triad criminal organization.

Shy Shen was the name of a list that contained the names of the Dragon Head leaders of the Chinese Triad. Its origin lay in ancient times when the Triad would select new leaders where they would secretly tattoo the names onto a woman. She would then carry the list to the thirty five provinces of China. After the completion of her journey, the leaders would be informed whereupon the woman would be beheaded as well as buried forever. This ensured no records or witnesses would remain and ensured the secrecy of the Triad. In the years that followed, the term Shy Shen would become lost to society and people believed the Shy Shen to be an actual paper that contained the list of the leaders of the Triad criminal organization.
