History

Spookhouse was an organization that was traced to the beginning of the 20th century when United States President Theodore Roosevelt was out hunting in 1903 where they unwittingly killed a werewolf. This act alerted him to tne dangers of supernatural threats to the world and thus he authorised the creation of a special agency tasked with hunting down such creatures as well as infestations in order to destroy them. This led to the formation of the Supernatural Domestic Defense and League of Research which became a secret agency within the United States of America with the mission mandate of combating and studying monsters as well as defending the human race from the threat posed by them.

In the modern age, the group dispatched Joshua Stranger on a mission to Germany to recover a vampire relic. He was accompanied by the dhampir agent Svetlana Lupescu to the remote village Falkenburg. From this site, Spookhouse had received reports of attacks by werewolves and the two operatives later encountered Count Voicu terrorizing the settlement. The Stranger and Lupescu managed to operate together in slaying the Count's minions but discover that Voicu had kidnapped the villager's daughters who were taken to Castle Gaudstadt.

Overview

From their encounters, the organization collected a vast armory of weapons and artifacts that they stored in their safekeeping. The reasons for keeping these relics was because some of them could not be destroyed whilst others were deemed useful. Ultimately, the main purpose for containing all these artifacts was because if there was ever another Great War then the Spookhouse would hold an arsenal against their enemies.
