Biography

Malzor was a male member of the Morthren species who had lived a harmonious and peaceful existence on their homeworld of Morthrai. He lived in the 20th century where at some point he married Lady Tila and became one of the top scientists among his people as well as chosen successor to serve as the next leader of the Morthren. At this point, the leader of the Morthren was Tallick who was the father of fellow scientist Mana. During this era, both Malzor and Tila managed to harness the power of their homeworld's energy rich crystals. These were able to provide the appropriate level of power for hyperdrives thus allowing for interstellar travel. During this time, the people of Morthrai had detected an anomalous reading in the galaxy which was in fact the deployment of the first atomic bombs on Earth in 1945. The discovery of intelligent life in the universe led to Tallick ordering that mining efforts be made on the planetary crystal reserves to help power a starship. This was despite warnings that the mining of such crystals could destabilize the planet's delicate ecosystem. Lady Tila was selected to join the expedition to Earth which was a decision that Malzor opposed and attempted to convince Tallick to change but was refused. Thus, in 1953, the alien invasion of Earth began where the Morthren were defeated after they were killed following exposure to the planet's bacteria. When news reached Morthrai, Malzor became devastated at the loss of his love and he blamed Tallick for the death of Lady Tila. He confronted the Morthren leader and blamed him for his vain egotistic actions which led to not only the depletion of their crystal resources but also the death of Lady Tila. Tallick chastised Malzor for his comments and warned him that continued defiance will mean that he would not succeed himself as leader. However, Malzor decided to take events into his own hands by murdering Tallick and claiming that the leader had died of old age. Thus, he took the sacred obelisk and took his place as leader of Morthrai where he intended to get revenge against Earth. He ordered that mining of further crystals in order to power a second expedition to Earth. However, this chain of events led to the ecosystem of Morthrai being disrupted leading to the once paradise world being transformed into a desolate cold ravaged planet. (Episode: The Obelisk)

With their planet dying, the Morthren fleet of ships were gradually reaching completion though they lacked enough vessels to transport the population from their dying world. Thus, Malzor ordered Mana to select only the best and more intelligent for the migration to Earth. Thus, he deemed that the old traditional ways of Morthrai would be abandoned with their species being transformed into a much colder and merciless race. (Episode: The Obelisk)

Following severe losses, the aliens now only numbered forty strong which led to Malzor consulting the Eternal. The deity ordered that the obelisk be consulted which led to him deciding to deploying the Telesion Spore to wipe the planet of life except for their own. His actions were seen as horrific by Mana and others but they decided to follow him as their leader. During this time, Malzor proved to be more paranoid and display emotional outbursts against his own people. This led to Ceto turning against him by stealing the sacred obelisk and going to Project Blackwood where he revealed his peoples history to the humans. It was during this moment that Ceto learnt the true nature of Malzor's actions and became horrified that the entire invasion being based on a lie. At this point, Malzor had sent hunting parties in order to kill Ceto but failed to accomplish this task whereupon he ordered the deployment of the forbidden spores. Ceto later contacted his mother Mana and showed her the truth within the obelisk. This led to Mana and Ceto along with Project Blackwood entering the Morthren base where she revealed the truth to her people. Now alone, Malzor attempted to take a hostage which he got in Suzanne McCullough. He was distracted by the arrival of Ceto who he killed with an energy weapon which led to his human girlfriend Debi McCullough shooting Malzor. This was a fatal wound and the dying Malzor's body disintegrated with the leader of the Morthren going to Mana as she sought a more peaceful for her kind. (Episode: The Obelisk)
