- Silver Monkey was created by Chuck Dixon and Steve Lieber where he made his first appearance in Detective Comics v1 #685 (May 1995).

- In Beware the Batman, the character appeared initially as a villain where he was voiced by actor James Remar. The episode "Safe" marked his debut on the animated series where he was shown as a member of the League of Assassins that had some familiarity with Tatsu Yamashiro and served under Lady Shiva.
