The Terran Confederation is a government that features in Wing Commander.

History
In 2629.105, a Terran ship called the Iason encountered a spacecraft of unknown origin. The human vessels commander Jedora Andropolos transmitted a wide-band non-verbal greeting and waited a response. However, the unidentified ship in less than twenty minutes proceeded to open fire with full lasers and destroyed the Iason along with its crew. The Confederation deep space tracking systems later managed to determine that the alien craft planet of origin was Kilrah.
Overview
Government was held within the Terran Confederation Congress that decided on policy and large scale actions. One agency within the government was Terran Intelligence Agency that was responsible for managing various Covert Ops with Special Operations teams deployed on missions.
Military control over the naval was achieved by the Confederation High Command.
The Confederation Oath of Service was:
- I am the heart of the Confederation.

- In Wing Commander: Academy, the Confederation appeared regularly in the animated series. In "The Last One Left", a famous Confederation pilot by the name of Daimon Karnes was noted as a war hero who disappeared during a recon mission to a star system. In reality, he had grown disillusioned with service and gone renegade where over the next twenty years he operated as a pirate where he led numerous outcasts including aliens and Kilrathi that attacked anyone in the system.
