- In X-Men: First Class, Darwin made an appearance in the live-action film where he was portrayed by actor Edi Gathegi. He was shown as a Mutant who was an adult by the 1960s who hid his talent of evolving new abilities instantly. Darwin was operating as a taxi cab driver when he was discovered by Professor X and Magneto where they recruited him to be part of the X-Men.
