When the New Gods were being murdered, Big Barda was seemingly among those that were believed slain. However, Scott came to believe that her soul had not passed onto the Source and that she was still alive. This led to him using his Mother Box to try and find her. It took him to Apokolips where Mister Miracle managed to evade the guard patrols as he attempted to find his wife. During this time, he found a captive Jimmy Olsen on the planet and learnt that the photographer had developed new abilities that reacted to intense harm to him. Thus, he helped Olsen escape and attempted to find the origin of his new powers. (Countdown v1 #22)

- In the DC Animated Universe, Mister Miracle made a number of appearances in the shared continuity setting.
- In Justice League Unlimited, Mister Miracle made his first active appearance in the episode "The Ties That Bind" where he was voiced by actor Ioan Gruffudd. It was shown that his real name was Scott who was taken in as a step-son of Darkseid where he was forced to undergo brutal training at the hands of Granny Goodness in the X-Pit. She attempted to break his spirit and show him the meaning of despair as part of her training regimen but he resisted her where he eventually managed to escape. During his escape, he encountered an Apokoliptian warrior Big Barda and convinced her to leave with him whereupon the two were married. Scott took the superhero identity with him forming a friendship with Oberon and engaged in various death-defying acts as part of his role as an escape artist. After Darkseid's apparent death, a civil war engulfed Apokolips with various individuals seeking to replace him. In that time, Kalibak was captured by Virman Vundabar who intended to brainwash him to secure his rule of the planet. To get Kalibak released, Granny Goodness captured Oberon in order to coerce Mister Miracle into freeing his step-brother from the X-Pit.
- In Justice League Action, Mister Miracle appeared in the animated television series where he appeared in the episode "It'll Take A Miracle" and was voiced by actor Roger Craig Smith.

- In DC Universe Online, Mister Miracle appeared in the MMORPG video game where he was introduced in the Halls of Power DLC. He along with Big Barda guided the player heroes into the Necropolis in search for relics of the Old Gods and find them before Darkseid's forces.
