This was until one day an incident caused falling debris to nearly drop on them but Sara showed super-strength that she used to save her family. Upon showing powers, she went on the path to become a superhero where she underwent training as part of the Initiative program and took the name Jackpot. Despite this, she actually did not like the life of being a hero and wanted to be normal. One day, she was operating as a hero when she drew the attention of a civilian named [[Alana Jobson]] who was enamoured with the life of a hero. The two became friends with Sara confiding in her that she never wanted to be a superhero and instead wanted to live an ordinary life.
