During the Armageddon, Shao Kahn ultimately won where all of creation faced destruction but during the last moments of Raiden he managed to his past experiences back to his younger self. This created a change in the timeline as the younger Raiden was guided by the scattered visions of the future where he sought to avert this dark future.

Personality and attributes
In the new timeline, he came to marry Sonya Blade with the two having a daughter named Cassie Cage. However, the two later came to be divorced though they still were on good terms with one another.
Powers and abilities
According to one account, Cag was descended from a Mediterranean cult that bred warriors for the gods: warriors with special abilities. One of these was the ability to propel himself forward and increase the strength of his blows.

- Johnny Cage was created by Ed Boon, John Tobias and Daniel Pesina where he made his first appearance in Mortal Kombat (1992).
- According to martial artist Daniel Pesina, who portrayed Cage in the original game and the 1993 sequel Mortal Kombat II, the character was additionally modelled after Danny Rand from the Power Man and Iron Fist comic series by Marvel Comics.
