King Arthur

A race of nameless purple skinned shapeshifting aliens came to arrive on Earth where they sought to take over Camelot. To accomplish this, they decided to use a Time Mist to drag Superman and Batman into that era. Once tere, they claimed that Camelot had been taken over by shapeshifting aliens and that the heroes needed to depose them to restore the true King Arthur to the throne. (World's Finest Comics v1 #162)

Post-Crisis

Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

Within his court, he had a jester named Walter Delane who was by the side of the Knights of the Round Table. (Freedom Fighters v2 #4)

Alternate Versions

  • In Marvel Family v1 #70 (1952), King Arthur appeared in the alternate universe setting of Earth-S. He along with the Knights of the Round Table were away from the kingdom to fight in the Crusades leaving Queen Guinevere in charge of Camelot along with Merlin. However, the kingdom came under attack from the villainous Black Wizard who sought to claim the throne for himself and kidnapped the queen. Unable to stop the villain alone, Merlin sent an enchanted suit of armour into the future to bring back a descendant of King Arthur with it returning with Stering Morris. The Marvel Family later travelled into the past to rescue him but later came to assist Camelot in defeating the Black Wizard.
