Alana Jobson was a female human born in the modern age where she lived in New York City. After the passing of the [[Superhuman Registration Act]], she came to meet Ehret and sensed an opportunity to fulfil her longstanding dream of becoming a hero. Sara Ehret had the powers and Initiative training but no longer wanted to be a hero but rather live an ordinary life. Meanwhile, Jobson wanted to live her life and came to purchase her superhero identity for herself and used pharmaceuticals derived from Ehret to give her temporary powers. This allowed her to take the superhero persona of Jackpot for herself and she began to operate as a vigilante on the streets and fought crime. (Amazing Spider-Man Annual v1 #35)
