This allowed him to achieve various feats with them such as hardening them into a blade-like state where he could shoot them out as projectiles or use them to control the speed and trajectory of a target. Each feather was considerably strong where a single one was capable of carrying a medium-sized object such as a rock or a human being. Larger and heavier objects required Hawks to deploy multiple feathers in order to lift them. He was also able to feel the vibrations in the air through them in a manner similar to echolocation which allowed him to sense the locations of people.

Keigo Takami was a human born with a Quirk (個こ性せい Kosei?, lit. "Individuality") that afforded him a special power. In his case, this took the form of Fierce Wings (剛ごう翼よく Gōyoku?) which granted him a pair of large, bright red, feathery wings on his back. Not only was he able to use them to fly but was able to telekinetically contol the movement and nature of each individual feather.
