After taking Claire out for dinner, the two are attacked by Marley yet again, this time dressed as a futuristic "police-man" right out of George Orwell's 1984, demanding their 'identification cards' and attacking Luke with a laser. Luke manages to subdue Marley and turn him over to the police. Claire went home in a cab as Luke went after Marley. Later they walked through the snowy streets and shared a kiss. - Claire Temple was created by Archie Goodwin and George Tuska where she made her first appearance in Hero for Hire v1 #2 (August, 1972).
Alternate Versions
- In Old Man Hawkeye v1 (2018), an alternate version of Claire Temple appeared in a world designated as Earth-807238. This version lived in a world where the Red Skull had led a supervillain uprising against the world's superheroes that were largely killed. Claire ran a clinic located in Electroville where she treated people that came to her. One of her patients was Marshal Lester with Bullseye asking her to remove the tracker in his Deathlok implants though Claire lacked the means to accomplish this task.
