The Paraelemental Plane of Ice is the Inner Plane formed between the Elemental Planes of Water and Air. Freezing winds from air freeze the liquid from water, forming a vast expanse of ice. The Paraplane is so cold that, in certain portions, even words can freeze in the air. One of the major powers on the Paraplane of Ice is Cryonax, an Archomental (or Elemental Prince) of Evil. Native creatures also include ice paraelementals, ice mephits, immoths, frost salamanders, and all sorts of cold-loving creatures.

Comments

The optional Elemental Plane of Cold from the Manual of the Planes for Dungeons and Dragons 3rd Edition is essentially identical to this Paraplane. In the Dark Sun world, this plane is replaced by the Paralemental Plane of Rain.
