The Maximals are the descendants of the Autobots in the era of the Beast Wars.
Dreamwave comic/Canadian Animated
The Maximals were the winners of the Great War, and imposed the Pax Cybertronia on their rivals (the Predacons), preventing them from their previous conquering ways.
