History
The Pax Cybertronia was a treaty and event that set of peace terms, imposed by the victorious Autobots (Cybertrons), under which the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons (Destrons) ended. For eons, the two factions had been locked in a bitter civil war that had ravaged their home planet, transforming it from a once-shining Golden Age world into a war-torn, resource-depleted husk. The conflict had escalated to the point where the survival of the entire Cybertronian race was at risk, forcing both sides to seek new energy sources on other worlds, which led to their eventual crash-landing on Earth four million years ago.
Following the final defeat of the original Megatron and his forces, the victorious Autobots gained control of Cybertron and, in the centuries that followed, evolved into the more fuel-efficient Maximals. The remaining Decepticons, offered amnesty, were downsized into the Predacons, a subordinate class that chafed under the imposed peace and economic sanctions. The Pax Cybertronia was formally drafted and ratified by the Maximal Imperium and the Predacon Alliance after the last of the Decepticon holdouts were quashed, establishing a new governmental structure and a tense, uneasy truce that strictly favored the Maximals, thus marking the transition into a new, albeit fragile, era of peace. The terms of the agreement included restrictions on the ability of the Decepticons- and later their Predacon descendants- to wage war, and a provision for the capture of war criminals and rogue elements. Over the long term, the Predacons planned to strike back at the Maximals despite the Pax Cybertronia, gathering their strength in secret.
Overview
In appearance, the Pax Cybertronia, as a historical event, was the formal cessation of the Great War, which had lasted for millions of years and consumed the planet Cybertron's resources. It marked the transition from open warfare between the Autobots and the Decepticons to a new social order on a rebuilding Cybertron. The event itself represented a sweeping societal transformation where the Autobots, having won the war, began the process of demilitarization, downsizing their forms into more energy-efficient Maximals. Concurrently, the remaining Decepticons were offered amnesty and repurposed as Predacons, a smaller, less powerful class. This period was characterized by a push for peace and stability, though an underlying tension persisted as the Predacons felt oppressed by the new Maximal Imperium, planting the seeds for the future conflict known as the Beast Wars.
As a foundational treaty, the Pax Cybertronia was a legal document that formalized the end of hostilities and established the political landscape of a post-war Cybertron. It outlined the terms of surrender for the Decepticon forces and provided a framework for the new, unified government led by the Maximals. The treaty specifically mandated the removal of war-grade armaments from civilian life, the shift to energon-efficient alt-modes (beast forms), and the designation of the Predacons as a lower social caste, permitted to exist under strict monitoring. This legal structure aimed to prevent any resurgence of a war machine, but the restrictive nature of the treaty's clauses became a major source of resentment among the Predacons, ultimately leading to the rise of a new Megatron and the theft of the Golden Disk, setting the stage for renewed conflict.

Notes
- Exactly how the Predacons were restricted was not specified, but likely it parallels the limitations on the Japanese after World War II, where their military budget was heavily restricted.
